Student Readiness Upload & Differentiation Intake
Upload, review, and approve MAP data for instructional planning.
Required NWEA MAP export
Download the Student Profile Batch PDF
Use this configuration so Data-AlignEd receives the learning statements needed to build accurate student readiness and differentiation guidance.
-
Open Student Profile
In NWEA MAP, open Student Profile. Select the roster term, school, instructor, and class. Select any student from that class, then choose View Student Profile.
-
Start a Batch PDF
Set the term to Most Recent. Select Print & Share, open the Download tab, and choose Batch PDF.
-
Select the two ELA subjects
Choose Reading and Language Usage. Leave Mathematics, Reading–Spanish, and Science unselected for this ELA readiness upload.
-
Select the instructional page
Choose only Instructional Areas (learning statements), then select Grouped by standard. This is the information Data-AlignEd uses to identify actionable skill needs.
-
Include the complete class
Select All students in this class, then choose Create PDF Report. If you teach multiple classes, create one Batch PDF for each class.
-
Download from the Reports Queue
Wait for NWEA to finish the report, download the completed PDF from the Reports Queue, and upload that unchanged PDF below.
Why these settings matter
The Instructional Areas learning statements connect each student’s current MAP results to specific skills. Reports that contain only summary scores, growth charts, or overview pages may not provide enough instructional detail for reliable differentiation.
Do not edit, combine, convert, or re-save the PDF before uploading. Keeping the original NWEA export intact gives the processor the most dependable source.
Upload the Completed NWEA Batch PDF
Upload the original Student Profile Batch PDF created with the settings above. File names like G5, G6, or G10 can help route students to next-year planning groups.
Privacy reminder: use anonymized or school-approved files only. Do not upload personally identifiable student data to a public deployment unless your school has approved that workflow.
Fall / Spring MAP Refresh
When new MAP results arrive, upload the new export, approve the readiness data, then regenerate the documents that depend on student readiness.
Use Fall or Spring results when they become available. The newest approved readiness data should replace the older planning snapshot.
Review routing, duplicate records, missing scores, and generated support guidance before saving the new readiness snapshot.
Use Leadership Docs for the full grade-level document set, then refresh daily lessons, packets, and materials as needed.
Class / Section Assignment
After the first readiness upload, assign students to the actual teacher sections that will receive separate reports, lesson supports, and curriculum documents.
Grade level, teacher, course name, class period/section, student name, and current MAP term.
Keep the class roster assignments, update the readiness scores, then regenerate only the selected grade or class sections.
Generate a school folder with grade folders, then class folders, then document sets inside each class folder.
Review & Routing
Check grade routing, duplicate names, missing scores, and generated teacher guidance before approval.
Upload readiness exports to preview normalized student profiles.
